Municipal elections will take place throughout Ontario on October 24, 2022.
You are qualified to run as a candidate if:
You are a Canadian citizen
You are at least 18 years old
You reside in the Township of Algonquin Highlands, are the owner or tenant of property in the Township of Algonquin Highlands, or are the spouse of such an owner or tenant
You are not legally prohibited from voting
You are not disqualified by any legislation from holding municipal office
You obtain at least 25 signatures from individuals eligible to vote in Algonquin Highlands, on the day they signed the endorsement
Note: A candidate, if nominated, must remain qualified throughout the election campaign and, if elected, throughout the term of office.
