Consultation has concluded
Algonquin Highlands has started a review of the Zoning By-law (ZBL). The ZBL review process will implement the policies of the recently adopted Official Plan Amendment.
Topics to be discussed during the ZBL review will include but not be limited to the following:
Cannabis cultivation/retail
Redevelopment of legal non-complying structures
Minimum dwelling size
Backyard hens
Backyard bee keeping
Hobby farms
Dock projection
Septic system setbacks
Environmental Protection Zones.
You are encouraged to review the draft Zoning By-law and schedules and use this site to share your ideas, discuss, provide feedback, and ask questions. If you would like to speak with the Township Planner, Sean O'Callaghan, please contact him via email.
